Here for sale is a vintage Fender Competition Mustang guitar in Candy Apple Red from 1971.

It has a the beautiful and highly desirable vintage Candy Apple Red ‘C.A.R’ finish styled after a popular American Hot Rod colour from the 50’s and ’60’s. This Mustang features all the original parts including pick ups, switches, pickguard, tone controls, wiring and pots. It also comes with the original Fender hard shell which is in good condition with cool vintage guitar stickers. The two clasps are working although the centre latch is missing, but the case is still functional. The guitar too is in good condition for it’s age. It has a gorgeous patina which lots of roadworn mojo, which gives it plenty of rock n’ roll character. The guitar has had a professional refret and plays wonderfully. There is lovely finish checking around the guitar which is  very enchanting. The neck is stamped 16 DEC 71 B. The approximate measurements of the neck are as follows, the nut width is 40.75mm / 1.604″, the depth of the neck is 22.33mm / 0.879″ at the first fret and 24.10mm / 0.949″ at the 12th fret. The neck is a desirable C shape with a 7.25″ fretboard radius. The frets are 2.02mm / 0.0795″ wide and 0.98mm / 0.0385″ deep.
