Here for sale is a Fender Stratocaster ST-62 in Black from 1997 made in Japan and comes complete with a tweed hardshell case.
The guitar features a ROSWOD neck, vintage-style Fender tuners, a 5-way selector switch, and a 3 ply pick-guard, and the tremolo arm. The guitar really pops with the Black finish and the mint pickguard. It is a recreation of the classic 1960’s Stratocasters from the golden era of Fender. This is the same model as played by Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and was used through out the bands career and in performances including Saturday Night Live in 1992 for Territorial Pissings and towards the end of the set on the In Utero tours. This guitar came from the same Fuji Gen Factory in Japan as Kurt’s legendary guitar.
The guitar is in excellent condition with some light play wear as you would expect from a player such as this. There is a small ding on the upper side of the guitar and just above the front pickguard but just gives the guitar more Rock ‘N’ Roll character and vintage mojo. The ROSWOD neck is wonderful to play with has a very comfortable C shape neck contour and the neck is made of maple and body is made of Alder. This Stratocaster has a 7.25″ neck radiusThe nut is approx 4.3cm / 1,69291, the neck thickness at the first fret is 2.2cm 0.866142″ and 2.5cm / 0.984252″ at the 12th fret. It has 0.2cm / 0.0787402″ wide and 0.3 / 0.11811″ deep frets and the guitar weighs approx 3.485KG. The pickups sound top-notch with great definition and hot enough to cut through in the mix. You can nail many different styles of music on these Strat’s from Surf to Rock and everything in between. A timeless Stratocaster with excellent Japanese build quality which has vintage specifications like the original ’60’s Strats that the mexican or modern USA strats just do not have in a great finish with a real vintage look and feel.
