The guitar features the original 24″ scale neck which has 22 frets. It is made of highly treasured Brazilian Rosewood due to the darkness of the frets. It has a set of vintage period correct Fender tuning keys. The headstock face has been refinished and has a period correct Duo Sonic II Decal, there is some finish checking around the peg holes which gives it that vintage look. The neck is absolutely exquisite to play and hold. It has had a refret and professional set up so it plays wonderfully in every position. The guitar is highly addictive to play and feels great.
The finish is original and in superb condition for its age, with a natural light relic, with a small circular area of wear on the back of the body which adds to its look. The guitar weighs 3.300KG.
It has an aftermarket pickguard. It fits it well enough although the neck pick up is slightly tilted. The control plate and control knobs are modern Fender parts. It has been complimented with a set of Seymour Duncan Antiquity Duo Sonic Pickups which are superb.
An absolute fantastic guitar and your chance to own an actual 1965 transition period Fender where the neck and body were made to the original pre CBS specs. The Daphne blue is the most desirable of the three original finishes and is hard to come by. Lovingly restored by the Guitarsmith Custom Department. Simply stunning!
