Fender Jaguar 1965 Olympic White Guitar + Original Hard Shell Case in Black Tolex with a red plush lining. Rare custom colour with matching white headstock.
Here for sale is this beautiful Fender Jaguar from 1964 pre C.B.S corporate buy out and in the rare and sought after Olympic White compete with the matching headstock complete with the original black Tolex hard shell case with red plush lining. This beauty comes complete with all the original parts, including the original pick ups, tuners, bridge, pick guard, tone pots and wiring. The original pick guard, neck plate, control knob cavity screws are all included and have new screws installed at present. All the original parts have been bagged and will be included should you which to put all these parts back on. The original tuners have Kluson written down the centre. The pots have the period correct numbers on them. The guitar sounds superb and a wonderful example of the early to mid ’60’s craftsmanship. The guitar has a lovely patina which has a mellow yellowing in places as well as fine lines in the finish which look really classy as it has not been touched up or refinished. There is various roadworn mojo with small dents and chips but add to the all original vibe of the guitar. This Fender Jaguar has an approximate Nut width of 40.98mm / 1.6135”, Neck thickness at 1st fret: 20.70mm / 0.815” and at the 12th fret: 24.45mm / 0.9625”. It has a C shape neck contour with 7.25” fretboard radius. It has Fret width 2.10mm / 0.083” and a Fret depth 0.72mm / 0.028”. The guitar weighs approx 3.545KG
This Jaguar has been upgraded with a mastery bridge for better tuning stability, new pick guard screws and new tuners. It comes with the original tremolo arm. The vintage case has plenty of wear and the end of one side has been taped with a vintage Marshall ‘the sound of rock’ cut out. The guitar plays fantastically with a great C shape neck, which has a wonderful played in feel. All the electronics work as they should with all the great Jaguar tonal options. This guitar has been well looked after and is a real collector’s piece from the golden age of Fender.
